Electric Chain Saw
A chain saw for light duty use run by mains electricity/

a tool from Amazon.

Of necessity these tools are only intended for light duty use. The fact that they trail a power cord behind them restricts them as far as tree lopping goes to residential gardens.

One very useful application that I have seen them used for is on building sites, where formworkers use them for crosscutting heavier timbers that a standard power saw will not cut through in one hit.

Chainsaws in general don't provide a precise cut, but this is seldom a worry in concrete formwork.
