Oscillating Spindle Sander
A small woodworking electrical finish sander. It can sit on the face of a board and the spindle can sand the edge square.

Once again I have to admit that I have never used one of these sanders. I can straight away see the possibilities and usefulness of the tool. One of the problems of sanding has been keeping the edges true. This usually meant that a very light touch had to be used to stop leaning from one side or the other.

This little machine keeps a true edge all the time and the added oscillating function will stop scratches appearing, which they would do if it was a straight rotation only.
