Hi Bill,
Here is a disaster for you. These photos were going around the web in an email. Said to be in Queensland and to be 40M. span.
Wotcha reckon.

Crikey Jim, talk about a disaster. Hardly a DIY job though. So what do you reckon, engineering or builder at fault. Definitely a case of cutting corners here.
I Know that this type of shed building construction is highly competitive, and they use standard material sections to create really cost effective structures, but this is a bit much. 40M. span, it is hard to believe.
We get the odd shed like this up here, but always they have to be re-engineered for our conditions, extra bracing, thicker purlins etc.

These photos were sent in good faith and I assume they are in the public domain, but if anyone objects to them being here, I will remove them Instantly
