Needled Raft Slab

In underpinning. An integrated raft slab and cantilever reinforced concrete needles sat on micro piles.

Above is a sketch of a section through the base of an external or load bearing wall. This is a method of underpinning by combining cantilevered concrete needle beams sat on micro piles, into a new raft slab.

This method is particularly useful for basements and where there is no access to the outside. Inner city street frontages or adjoining (terraced) properties
