Scissor truss
A truss with both the top chords and the bottom chords sloping upwards. To give a greater ceiling or clearance height.
Sawtooth truss
A truss made with one top chord steeper than the other, usually to add windows.
Northlight truss, Clerestory truss.
A standard W truss or similar but with a small extension to one top chord to provide for a window.
Bell truss, Polynesian Truss
A truss with a central steeper section, usually to provide large gable air vents.
